How can I make money online?

Virtually every 'Make Money Online' course, ebook, website, blog, etc. will explain the goal of internet marketing is to have a system that will make you money on autopilot.
  1. find a product or offer you would like to promote.
  2. create articles promoting that product or offer.
  3. get traffic to those articles.

Laid out like that it really looks simple doesn't it? You can even do it with or without your own website. Just 3 steps to make money online!

The better ebooks, courses and seminars add two extra steps to take advantage of an old marketing adage called the 'Rule of 7'. So, if you've been looking for the answer to "How to make money online?" then here is the formula to follow:
  1. find a product to sell.
  2. set up a website targeted for people who want to buy that product.
  3. entice visitors to submit email address for newsletter.
  4. use an email autoresponder to send series of newsletters promoting the paid product.
  5. set up a traffic campaign to get visitors to your website who want to buy that product.

Those 5 basic steps give you a powerful (yet still simple) formula to make money online.

At the basic level, it really is that simple. That's why online marketing appeals so much to the 'Get Rich Quick' seeker. The problem is that 'simple' does not necessarily mean 'easy'. Where it gets more complicated is in making sure each of those steps are done effectively.

This is where the 'Get Rich Quick' seekers jump off the bandwagon and start yelling SCAM. As I said above, 'simple' isn't the same thing as 'easy'. While the 'Get Rich Quick' books do overhype how easy it is to get results, it's still a fact that this is a proven system.

If you really want to learn how to make money online, you need to ignore the hype. There is no way that anyone can guarantee that you can make XX amount of money in XX amount of time. There are too many variables that have to be taken into consideration. Everything from how good you are at niche research all the way through how good you are at understanding the material and following instructions.

The most important things you have to ask yourself are "What are your actual expectations?", and "How well do you understand what your actually doing for each step?".

Your expectations will determine how long you'll follow through with the plan. If you expect to make $10,000 in two weeks, and after 3 weeks you still haven't made a sale then you'll probably give up and call it a scam, (That's usually caused by salespages making unrealistic promises). Even more importantly is how well you understand what needs to be done for each step. Even if it is possible to make $10,000 in two weeks, it isn't likely to happen unless you do everything exactly right.

Your expectation shouldn't be to make $10,000 in two weeks. Instead, your goal should be to learn exactly how to do each step necessary for a successful marketing campaign.

So, if you've been searching google, forums, blogs, ebooks, etc. for the answer to "How to make money online?", or even worse looking for "How to Get Rich Quick?", then you're asking the wrong questions. You've probably already found that answer over and over again, but keep ignoring it because that 3 step or 5 step formula I outlined above isn't complete enough for you to understand how to make it work.

Instead you should be asking questions about how to do each of those steps; "How do I find a good product to sell?", "How do I find the best niche to market in?", "How do I set up a website that effectively promotes a product?" "How do I write articles that will lead a prospect to buy?", "How do I entice visitors to submit their emails?", "How do I get visitors to my website that are looking to buy?"

If you search the BHW forum you'll find those questions and many more are answered for free in many threads on this forum.

"How do I make money online?" is the wrong question. You just have to learn to ask the right questions. Finding answers to all those more specific questions are how you'll learn to make money online.

How To Make Money Online

One of the biggest and most frequently asked question online in the Internet Marketing industry is "How do I get started".

Most people, acquire a cheap "Make money online" E-book and then they read half way through it and think "well this helped me none.. I just don't understand".

I know some people will disagree, but breaking into Internet Marketing and being successful takes determination and is very hard to do.

FIRST OFF: I see too many people trying to just make money. They're only in it for the money and only want to make some sales.

This is a big problem. Why?

No one comes online looking to randomly buy things. Everyone is looking for an answer to a problem they're having or looking for a solution to something. Remember.. your job is not to make a sale but to solve someone's problem and in turn.. that is what will make you a sale.

So what do you need to make money online?

#1: You need a clue.
Anyone can search google for answers to making money online, but you've got to have an understanding of what you're doing or you'll always be running around searching for answers.

#2: You need a plan/idea.
Brainstorm! You need to have a mapped out vision in your head of your business. Do you plan on purchasing a domain and starting a product on dog health care, buying domains and selling them, selling home made materials on e-bay, writing articles, etc. There are so many options out there for what you want to do, but you've got to have an idea and a plan before you can start making money. Brainstorm in your head and think to yourself..

"What am I good at?"
"What am I knowledgeable about?"
"What is something I really enjoy doing/talking about?"
"How do I plan on providing information on this product?"

#3: You need a website.
Unless you plan on marketing to forums and groups (which isn't a very well played out business plan) you need to establish a website. Before you start thinking "I have no money for a website". You can always start a blogger. www.blogger.com

If you're looking at starting a website, I would highly recommend Host Gator to beginners and novice marketers. The options of managing/running your website are great and at such a low cost, it's hard for me to refuse Host Gator when ever I plan on getting a website.

Hosting at Host Gator starts out at $4.95 so this is great for a beginner's website or just starting out.

Now comes the part I had trouble with when I began. Website Design/Website creation. I am not a HTML savvy guy.. believe me. While I am sure there are many sources you could hire for you to create your website, I believe everyone should learn to create their own material at one point or another.

You need a website with an easy design/layout because anything hard to read or something that doesn't look professional will have a much lower conversion rate than what you hope for.

Remember, when you're writing your sales copy/creating your product... you're speaking out to people that have a problem and are in need of a solution.

Make Money E-Book - People are broke.. who wants to be broke?
Train Your Dog E-Book - A loud and undisciplined dog is a danger to you and everyone around you.
A Guide To Smart Car Buying - Learn to save gas and to save earth

Do you see what I am saying? You have to speak to people in the certain niche you're trying to sell in, because you're trying to fix a problem someone has or answer a question that someone has.

In my opinion, fear and hype are two of the biggest sellers there are.

Trying to sell a vehicle? Examine your audience.. a young man will be interested in something fast and loud and will want to impress the ladies in his hot new ride. You have to know who you're selling too and get them hyped, because a hungry crowd always comes back for more.

Don't get me wrong now.. I am not saying a website is the only way you will ever make money period, I am just saying that this is probably the best way to create an automated source of income.

#4: Patience/Consistence.
If making money online was as easy as snapping your fingers.. everyone would be e-millionaires.
So many people quit trying once they find out how much work is actually involved in creating an online business and being good at what you do. You have got to keep consistent.

You've got a killer website but no sales, why not?
Get inside your market's head and view your website not from your point of view but theirs. Do not think "how will this make me money" but "will this solve my problem"?

Be consistent and always add new fresh content and possibly new products to keep your customers/readers coming back for more. A hungry crowd can never get enough no matter how much they spend.

Now then, here are some suggestions as to when you do get a business up and running, but are not mandatory.
E-MAIL LISTS!

If someone opts in to your e-mail list.. chances are.. they're interested in what you've got or curious. A lot of websites don't offer a chance to opt in to an e-mail list and a lot of money is to be made off this. A lot of people who see a website once won't purchase something because they simply don't know the source. A couple of e-mails possibly sending out some free methods/tactics or newsletters might change Curious George into a buyer.

Remember.. Internet Marketing is not an overnight task.

You can either sell your own or someone else's product.

If you're new to the game.. I don't recommend purchasing any products, because I guarantee you that 75% of the information you just paid for can be found on a forum for free.

The more consistent you are, the more determined you are, the more it will show. Don't give up just because you don't hit the lottery over night because like I said.. if making money online was truly "That easy", everyone would be doing it.

Guranteed Money Making Guide - 100% workable

Hey guys, here's my first guide . Being in the info marketing business, I've come into contact with hundreds of different methods to making money online. Some WhiteHat (which I teach and sell), and some BlackHat.... Which honestly would hurt my reputation if I taught or sold them to my list.  So here's where you guys stand to benefit. Hehe.

Ok so here's the basic mindset for this method. I've come to a conclusion that "pirates" however cheap as they come, are unable to get over one big manly flaw, SEX. And my tests have proven, that pirates PAY on a higher consistency than the average online porn surfer. This translates into much higher conversion rates, with a much larger somewhat untapped market.

Here's basically what I did:

Step 1:

Get (or ahem purchase) dating guides (ebooks/videos/seminars) online. It's best to get guides that concentrate on "getting sex/dates online via dating sites". Scrape them and summarize them into an ebook less than 5 pages long. Too long of an ebook will decrease conversion rates.

Step 2:
Reword the ebook mentioning the dating sites that seem to work best for your methods. Add in 2 of your recommended dating sites' affiliate URL in the beginning and end of the ebook (more about which dating site to choose at the bottom of this guide).

Step 3 (Crucial):
Simply submitting the ebooks with titles like "How to get sex online" or "How to find horny women online" is going to get you banned. Torrent/P2P sites hates free stuff, and I'm sure the few of you who have tried this would know best. So to combat this, you want to change your title and description to something like this... "$3997 Underground Online Dating Guide - Only sold to 10 people" or any variation to this. Basically you want everyone to know that the ebook WASN'T FREE, and it costs a bomb to get such an exclusive guide. Remember to make up a guru name like "Mr. Playboy".

Step 4:
Start submitting the ebook to top torrent sites, p2p like limewire, rapidshare/megashare forums (this works very well) and finally private torrent sites (if you have access to them).

Step 5:
Change or rearrange a few sentences or paragraphs in your ebook, then change the title to something different. The basic content and affiliate link remains the same. Repeat Step 4.

Step 6:
Repeat Step 5 and 4 every few days.

Step 7:
Watch your affiliate stats grow exponentially.

Now I've tried a great number of adult dating sites, so here are two of my best performing STATS and results:

Disclaimer: These are my stats from various testing which I don't track. So you should be able to get even higher conversion rates which turns to higher per signup $$$:

#1 - Iwantu
7 uniques per FREE signup ($7.10 per free signup)
71 uniques per PAID signup ($50 *35/week* to $100 *279/week* per paid signup)
By far my best performing dating site, choose the Pay per Profile for starters and once you see more and more traffic, start using the Pay per Signup campaign instead.

#2 - AdultFriendFinder
5 uniques per FREE signup ($0.35 per click)
55 uniques per PAID signup ($100 per paid signup)
My 2nd best performing affiliate site, only Pay Per Order is worth using.

Now although AFF converts at a higher percentage than IWantU, the amount of traffic I get on IWantU is substantially higher, even when I placed the IWantU affiliate link AFTER AFF on my ebooks. I would assume that most downloaders of my ebooks already have a current account with AFF. Ultimately IWantU has much higher profits. Don't bother trying Rev/Percentage sharing, they have consistently only got me 1/4 to 1/3 the profits of per signups. Not worth it.

This guide is pretty staight forward as you can see. Try to use a valid proxy while submitting your ebooks. I don't want to gloat about how much I've earned from using this method, but let me assure you that you shouldn't have any problems seeing 4 digits per day once you get the hang of this.

I've now moved on to other methods, but being a human being, still appreciates a thanks now and then and the ever so obvious webmaster referrals commissions.

The Secrets to Media Buying - Getting Started

The world of Media Buying is a fast paced industry that scares a lot of marketers due to rumors of losing very large amounts of money. However, a lot of marketers do not understand that Media Buying has completely changed in the past few years. As technology enables better tracking systems and ways of serving ads it created the forefront for demand side platforms, real time bidding, and for the first time ever, your 5 year old nephew can buy ad space on sites like NYtimes.com, PerezHilton.com, and FoxNews.com.

A lot of marketers learned that you cannot put your entire business into the hands of third parties. With one clean swipe Google changed the SEO game and business’s that relied heavily on organic traffic were destroyed overnight. Media Buying offers you the chance to control your traffic.

What is Media Buying?

Media Buying can be anything from buying banner space on a website, contextual ads, a sponsored tweet, or a blog post. In overall, the Internet has broken the doors of traditional advertising and now offers much different type of Ad networks. I have a comprehensive database with close to 200 Ad Networks. I have them broken by different types of Media, budgets, and experience level that these networks require. The key to this business is testing different advertising placements and finding the right media for your offer. The equation is rather simple on the forefront, but don’t underestimate the work that is required to produce a profitable campaign. If it was easy… everyone would be doing it.

Before we dive into the above equation though you need to ask yourself, what am I buying Media for? I find a lot of confusion where members think Media Buying is a “system” or “scheme” to making money. Media Buying is the process of getting traffic. The traffic that you send to your offer through Media Buying is what creates the revenue. Thus, they’re two sides to learning Media Buying, understanding the traffic and the Offer.

The Offer

Throughout my series, when you hear me referring to “the offer” this can mean a handful of different things. In my experience these are the offers I have worked with, I also compare the pros and cons to working with these types of offers.

What’s best?

In regards to getting the best ROI on you’re spending we highly recommend that members go the route of creating their own product. This is because when you are selling someone else’s product and receiving a commission you need to calculate that the product sale price is not your revenue and in fact it is 25% commission of that sale price. You also are producing more risk as you let more control go to someone else. For example, we have produced a ton of sales for an advertiser that we were affiliates for and then for whatever reason the advertiser decided to pull the offer down. Now, we have to figure something else out. Your goal is to minimize your risk as much as possible and with your own product this is the only way.
